			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><p><span class="caps"><acronym title="The School of Computer and Information Science Student Association">SCISSA</acronym></span> is going to have a stand at the opening ceremony of <span class="caps">SECAU</span> on the 1<sup>ST</sup> of October. The ceremony will be held in main lecture hall in building 10. <span class="caps"><acronym title="The School of Computer and Information Science Student Association">SCISSA</acronym></span> needs two members to help us set-up the stand and event from 2:30pm til 5:00pm and then assist with serving food and drink at 5:30pm til 6:30pm.</p></p>

The first is on the 15th of August and is the Carla Romera Public Lecture on &#8220;Women in IT&#8221;.  Secau Security Research Centre Administrator David Cook would like female students from <span class="caps"><acronym title="The School of Computer and Information Science">SCIS</acronym></span> and <span class="caps">SCA</span> to participate  and form part of the audience. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><p>A new and exciting recruiting campaign currently being run by <span class="caps">DSD</span> in the field of cyber operations. They are looking for passionate technical people who are interested in:</p></p>

	<p><ul></p>
	<p><li>Programming in high and low level languages</li></p>
             <li>Responding to incidents on critical networks</li><br />
<li>Computer forensics to help find the really bad guys</li>
             <li>System administration to support our specialist networks</li><br />
<li>Penetration testing, including tool and exploit development</li><br />
<li>Software reverse engineering for malware analysis</li><br />
<li>Computer and network vulnerability analysis and discovery</li><br />
<li>Secure system and network architecture design and risk management</li><br />
</ul>

	<p>The campaign will run from July to September, with electronic applications closing on 17 August 2008.  During September, <span class="caps">DSD</span> will host a fully-paid 2 day assessment centre in Canberra for those applicants found suitable during the first phase. This will also give applicants an opportunity to meet our staff and see the exciting range of work available at <span class="caps">DSD</span>.<br />
