New Public Lectures
SCISSA is getting involved in two high profile events. The first is on the 15th of August and is the Carla Romera Public Lecture on “Women in IT”. Secau Security Research Centre Administrator David Cook would like female students from SCIS and SCA to participate and form part of the audience. He is also looking for one keen female student to take part on the discussion panel with ECU academics and Carla Romero. In addition to this David is also looking for a couple of female students to assist him with serving OJ and red wine for the officials after the Carla Romero lecture. Please email SCISSA Vice-President Matt Woods or David Cook your name and email address if you are interested.
The next event SCISSA is getting involved is on the 18th of August as Andrew Bernat gives a Public Lecture on “The Internet of Things”. Andrew Bernat is well known throughout the US and David is looking for any students who would like to attend the lecture. There is a limit of up to 15 students and David has kindly given SCISSA Members first preference. Please email SCISSA Vice-President Matt Woods or David Cook your name and email address if you are interested.
